About the Event

Mourning Lattes: Conversations Around Death, Dying & Grief

Welcome to Mourning Lattes – a recurring event series that brings people together for an experience that's as enriching as it is comforting.

Join us in a safe and welcoming space where heartfelt discussions blend with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed tea or coffee. This event is designed to encourage open and candid conversations about life, death, and everything in between.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Thoughtful Conversations: Engage in meaningful dialogues about topics often considered taboo in our society.
  • Community & Connection: Connect with individuals who share an interest in embracing discussions about mortality, grief and the human experience, in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Guided Facilitation: Prompt questions will be provided to help encourage conversations, while the generation conversation will be facilitated by a host to ensure everyone feels heard and respected.
  • No Agenda, No Pressure: There is no set agenda, or pressure to conform to any particular belief or viewpoint. This is an inclusive space that allows you to engage at your own pace and comfort level.

Come sip on a drink, share stories, ask questions, and find solace in the company of those who appreciate the beauty and significance of death, dying and grief.

We look forward to meeting you!

About Bampot

Bampot's goal has always been bringing together individual passions and talents to create a community space full of warmth, comfort, and entertainment. We're very passionate about everything we do here at Bampot because although Toronto has plenty of bars and cafes, there is a shortage of spaces that act as a public living room - and that's what we're here to give you.

Bampot is a sanctuary in the city and is ultimately a place to Be. A place to feel safe and be yourself. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your kids - this space is to be enjoyed by all.
